I finally got to come home from the hospital and soon after I arrived my big sis came home from kindergarten and wanted to hold me right away. I think I'm going to like it here!

It's so 1974!

I forgot to add this to the post below so its a little out of order. This linolium was under the linolium that we put in 16 years ago when we first moved into our house. It was actually in pretty good shape considering. Our house was built in 1974 so I'm sure at the time it was right in style! Hey--maybe its back in style now! Nah, I don't think so.

We're Floored

It's been a painful week around our house and it's about to get worse. Every night this week we've had to clear out room after room to get new flooring. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights we had everything that belongs in our kitchen and dining room in our living room-including the refrigerator and stove. Tonight we had to clear out the living room and one bedroom as well for the carpet layers tomorrow. We thought we'd be able to use the kitchen and dining room but...........the hard wood isn't finished in either of those rooms yet. Now our refrigerator and stove are out on the deck. There's no rain in the forcast right? Pictured below is our floor after the linolium was ripped up.

Tuesday night when I got home I was surprised and disappointed to find out only 4 boards had been laid. They spent most of the day putting a sub floor in the dining room to level the two rooms.

Tonight looked much better.

One of our extra bedrooms storing "stuff". It's been a long week already and its only Wednesday.

Party Girl

Laina pictured with the brides bouquet that she caught Friday night after a wedding. She explained that she didn't actually CATCH the bouquet--it landed at her feet and she simply picked it up. She was so pooped out after dancing for the better part of 3 hours that she slept until 9:45 Saturday morning!
