| We had gorgeous weather this weekend. Just in time for our early Christmas Saturday night with Sarah, Erik and Malin before they head out to Kansas City. Leila was not impressed with the Christmas party and decided to sleep through most of it. She even sleeps cute! |

| A few weeks ago we visited a restaurant in Muscatine called Salvatore's Ristorante. We were serenaded by this young man and to our surprise he chose a song that I love and that we listened to many times over the summer as we watched the Ken Burns Civil War mini series. The name of the song is Ashokan Farewell. We all liked our food and took home 'take and bake' pizza's for the next night. |

| Last weekend Laina and I went to see Raggedy Ann And Andy's Yuletide Adventure at the Old Creamery Theatre in Amana. |

| The price was right at only $8 per ticket. |

| When I asked Laina who she wanted to get her picture taken with after the play she said "all of them". |
 |
| So we waited in line and got a picture with all the characters in the play. |
 |
| Except the witch who was also the Grandma pictured above. |
 |
| Laina loved the play and so did all the other kids. There is lots of audience participation and the kids went wild as the policeman chased the witch through the audience. Well worth the money and the drive over to Amana. We may go back in the spring for The Hare and the Tortoise and/or Jack and the Beanstalk next summer. |
