Sarah and Erik hosted a pumpkin carving party last weekend. I did not carve a pumpkin but I did eat the snacks and hold Hudson. Here are some of the pumpkins carved at the party.

Vote for a backsplash

Below is the toasted almond counter top that was installed a couple of weeks ago. I learned that quartz weighs 20 pounds per square foot! Now we are ready for the backsplash. I went to Lowes a brought home 3 samples. Sample 1:

Wasserbahn

For Laina's birthday Bridget gave her a day at Wasserbahn. You can buy day passes to the waterpark and Bridget took Destiny and Laina for a day full of fun. Below Laina and Destiny say their good byes at the end of the fun filled day. Destiny's hair looks a little crazy after being wet all day!

I Heart My Oven

After years of putting up with an electric stove we finally have a gas stove and our convection oven not only can bake 3 pans of cookies at a time........


It can bake 3 pans of cookies and a casserole at the same time! I might even bake cookies more than once or twice a year now. No promises.

Here we go again

Here we go again with our house in turmoil while we await new countertops and sink tomorrow. Kitchen drawers stacked on beds.........

Kitchen chairs lined up in the bedroom. We go from 'hunter green' counter tops to 'toasted almond'. Stainless steel undermount sink. If you ever think of remodeling or updating your house..............dont do it. Just move--its much easier.
