Staying Indoors Activities

We've had to stay indoors for the past several weeksends since it doesn't seem to get much above 0 around here! We kept the kids busy Saturday night with 3D puzzles. It took Laina about an hour to construct the one above with a little adult supervision.

 

 

Malin was happy with her flower. Hddson wasn't much interested in making his flower.

 

 

He didn't want his picture taken with his flower--only with his knives--because he was fighting monsters..........again. This little guy never rests. He fights monsters day and night. Thanks for keeping us safe Hudson.

Crochet-a-thon

Last weekend during the arctic blast I crocheted headbands. Ava and Leila are modeling 2 of them. A Facebook post of the headbands garnered many requests so I'm still crocheting headbands.

Slumber Party

I invited Laina, Hudson, Malin & Leila to a sleepover Friday night. Leila declined the invitation but the others came over for a whirlwind 24 hours that included the below snowman craft, games, puzzles, popcorn  and a movie and a whole party with "stations" organized by Laina which included a dance party, gymnastics, a book reading and hide and seek!

 

I was surprised that Hudson would sit and do this craft. Crafting is not his thing. Maybe it was because he got to eat marshmallows? 

 

The reason Malin doesn't have very many marshmallows on her paper is because she ate more than she glued!
