The only room in our house that has never been painted or updated much since we moved in over 18 years ago is what we call the Utility Room. It is a multi purpose room that holds our washer, dryer, an extra refrigerator, an extra stove, a chest freezer, a sink and cupboards, lots of storage and shelving and a cement floor. The above picture is the worst of the walls.
Or wait--maybe this is the worst of the walls. I took 3 days off this week to tackle wall patching, painting, cleaning and organizing. This is a fairly large room and was in desperate need of some TLC. Before I could start we had to move an enormous amount of stuff out of the room and off of the shelves.
Some built in shelving--sanded and primed. These shelves hold everything from swimming gear to paint, fireplace logs, canned goods, flashlights and many other miscellaneous objects.
I painted 3 walls "Early Grey" and one wall (left) "Gale Force".
The shelves and trim are "Grays Harbor" and the floor "Steely Gray". The wall to the right of the shelves in this picture is the same wall in the first picture. After 3 days I am not finished as you can see by the unfinished floor. I'll post another picture when it's all done.
