We're beginning to understand how difficult it is to get a good picture of 6 kids.

Did you know.........
You can freeze buttermilk? If you have a favorite recipe that calls for buttermilk but don't normally keep it on hand (like me) just pop it in a freezer bag. It thaws quickly and works great if you measure it out ahead of time. I use mine for pancakes.
Terri got me started doing this & I'm sure glad. Thanks Terri!

Minneapolis Weekend
Laina met my brother's grandchildren in Minneapolis this past weekend and they really hit it off. We had lots of fun shopping at the Mall of America, going to the Hollidazzle Parade and eating lunch at the American Girl doll store.

Hands Down
My age spotted hands made it onto the cover of the Iowa Alumni Magazine. I hate the way my hands look & really didn't want one on the front of a magazine but in the end thought "what the heck".

Smelly Feet
Malin spent Sunday afternoon with us while her mom and dad were taking a class and we did another fall craft . She thought it was great fun to have her feet painted and even learned how to make orange paint out of red and yellow .

Toddler Craft Time with Malin
It's always a challenge to find crafts that toddlers can actually do. This one rates way up there on my list. Collecting the leaves is fun. Grandma cut the inside circle out from a paper plate ( the cheap thin ones work best). Then just glue the leaves--stems toward the center, let it dry, cut the stems off & add a bow. You could also add a loop of ribbon at the top for hanging.
